Manager and Administration The manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Children’s Centre, to ensure a high quality service is provided to families and professionals. He/she is responsible for managing the Centre’s complex budgets and promoting the multi-agency and multi-disciplinary work that makes the project so unique. The administration team at Caerphilly Children’s Centre is employed by Action for Children and enables the efficient operation of the Centre by ensuring the provision of an effective and responsive administrative support service. It provides a friendly reception service to visitors and telephone callers and is the first point of contact for families and professionals using the Centre. The admin team is responsible for administration and support of all staff based at the Centre. The Centre’s handyman has worked at the Children Centre for sixteen years, almost since the day it opened. His job has changed dramatically during that time as the Centre has trebled in size and with the addition of a hydrotherapy pool.
He is also responsible for the general maintenance of the centre, including painting, cutting lawns and managing the hydrotherapy pool. A large part of his time is taken up liaising with contractors who work temporarily at the Centre, and bring to the notice of the Centre Manager any health and safety issues that he is aware of.
Our cleaners have worked at Caerphilly Children’s Centre for many years, They work hard to keep the building clean as they possibly can, and also make sure every night that the building is secured and alarmed.
